Rafat Ali is Editor and Publisher of ContentNext media, including paidContent.org, the award-winning digital media business news and analysis site, which he founded. He is also editor of MocoNews.net, a news site devoted to mobile content. Both sites form part of ContentNext, an independent media and information company covering the business of digital media. Previously, Ali was the managing editor of the Silicon Alley Reporter, where he wrote and edited daily news and feature stories on online media, technology and high-tech finance that were sent out as part of a daily e-mail newsletter to 50,000 subscribers. He was also a section editor for Venture Reporter magazine, a bimonthly publication on venture capital business, and wrote features on the online media/entertainment industry and allied technologies, analyzed startups and interviewed venture capitalists. In addition, he worked as a digital media reporter at Inside.com. Ali earned his bachelor's degree in computer engineering in India and a master's degree in journalism at Indiana University, where he was a Knight Foundation Fellow.
