Rafat Ali is Editor and Publisher of ContentNext media, including paidContent.org, the award-winning digital media business news and analysis site, which he founded. He is also editor of MocoNews.net, a news site devoted to mobile content. Both sites form part of ContentNext, an independent media and information company covering the business of digital media. Previously, Ali was the managing editor of the Silicon Alley Reporter, where he wrote and edited daily news and feature stories on online media, technology and high-tech finance that were sent out as part of a daily e-mail newsletter to 50,000 subscribers. He was also a section editor for Venture Reporter magazine, a bimonthly publication on venture capital business, and wrote features on the online media/entertainment industry and allied technologies, analyzed startups and interviewed venture capitalists. In addition, he worked as a digital media reporter at Inside.com. Ali earned his bachelor's degree in computer engineering in India and a master's degree in journalism at Indiana University, where he was a Knight Foundation Fellow.

Dick Kaser is a familiar face in the information industry. As Vice President of Content for trade publisher and conference organizer Information Today, Inc. (ITI).  Dick heads up ITI’s Content Group and directs the editorial operations for all trade periodicals, reference products, and conference programs—each aimed at the library community or professional btob information markets, including publishers.  Publications under Dick’s wing include Information Today, Searcher, ONLINE, EContent, KMWorld, CRM Magazine, Streaming Media, American Library Directory, Literary Marketplace, and Computers in Libraries, where he simultaneously serves as Executive Editor. He also directs the program for ITI's Buying & Selling eContent conference. 

Prior to joining ITI in 2001, Dick was Executive Director of NFAIS (the National Federation for Advanced Information Services).  At NFAIS he directed the federation’s publishing and conference programming, in addition to providing consulting services to member organizations.  Dick held prior management positions with Chemical Abstracts Service—the producer of STN International—and the Macmillan Electronic Publishing Group, including Pergamon Press, Molecular Design Limited, BRS Software, the BRS and ORBIT search services, and Macmillan New Media.  He has more than 25 years of experience in the information industry.  Published widely—from scholarly journals to the popular press—Dick observes and comments frequently on the industry.

Nik Kopelev is Director, R&D IT Vendor Relations at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).  In this role he leads the company-wide information acquisition function and manages the R&D IT software portfolio.  Nik’s group is responsible for working with almost 300 publishers and software vendors.



In addition to license development and negotiations he is actively involved in identifying new information products to be licensed at GSK to cover emerging business needs, as well as in joint development initiatives with major information publishers.

Dr. Weinberger was VP of Strategic Marketing there for 2.5 years. Prior to that he held a similar position at Interleaf. Before that, he taught college philosophy for 6 years.

Dr. Weinberger has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Toronto and a BA from Bucknell University. He co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto (Perseus).

Dr. Weinberger has had extensive experience in the electronic document management and delivery markets. He was editor of the Gilbane Report (the leading journal on document management), publishes frequently in magazines such as Wired and speaks at conferences around the world on the future of documents and the Web's influence on business processes.
